🔹 Formulations & Active Ingredient

Available as SHENZI 700 WG (water-dispersible granule) and 400 SC (suspension concentrate), both containing chlorantraniliprole. In India, it's marketed as chlorantraniliprole 18.5% w/w SC, with an equivalent concentration of approximately 185 g/L.

🌾 Spectrum of Use

Controls a broad range of lepidopteran pests such as bollworms, pod borers, armyworms, stem borers, and fruit borers.
Effective on crops including:

• Vegetables: tomato, brinjal, chilli, cabbage
• Field crops: maize, rice, sugarcane, soybean, pigeon pea, groundnut
• Fruits and nuts: citrus, grapes, pome and stone fruits, tree nuts

🎯 Mode of Action

Belongs to the anthranilic diamide (Group 28) class.
It works by activating insect ryanodine receptors, causing muscle paralysis and death. This unique mechanism is especially effective against pest strains resistant to other insecticides.

📏 Recommended Dosage

• Foliar sprays:
  • Common rate: ~0.4 ml/L of water (~60 ml/acre; ~150 L water).
  • For pome fruits, tree nuts, grapes as SHENZI 700 WG: 1.0–2.2 fl oz/acre, with a pre-harvest interval (PHI) of 5–14 days depending on the crop.
    

🧤 Safety & Handling

• Wear protective gear (mask, gloves, goggles), and avoid eating/smoking during application.
• Avoid application during crop flowering to minimize impact on bees.
• Rainfast just two hours post-spray; stable under UV and pH extremes .
• Limit to max 3 applications per crop season, with no more than 2 consecutive applications to manage resistance.
